Does it work without internet?
Yes. Quotes and invoices write to local storage. As soon as you hit reception they sync and send. The van's basement, the cellar boiler room, the lift shaft — all fine.
Can I export PDFs?
Every quote and invoice generates a PDF. Email it, WhatsApp it, AirDrop it, hand the phone over. No watermarks on PRO.
What about VAT and reverse charge?
Per-line VAT — standard 23%, reduced 13.5%, zero-rated, exempt, and the construction reverse charge for subcontractors to principal contractors — all supported for IE rules (and PL, DE, UK). Set defaults per client; override per item. Accountant gets a clean export.
Does it handle RCT?
Yes. Flag a job as relevant contract work, set the subcontractor's RCT deduction rate (0%, 20% or 35%), and the invoice shows the gross, the deduction and the net to the principal contractor. The export ties out for your accountant and Revenue.
Will it work cross-border?
Yes — that's the whole point. Quote a Polish client in PL, deliver the invoice in DE to their German office, send the English version to UK procurement. One job, three documents, your VAT number on each.
Does it talk to my accountant?
CSV, XLSX, and direct integrations with the most common accounting tools shipping at launch. If yours is missing, tell us — the list grows weekly.
What if I want to leave?
Export everything in one tap. ZIP of every PDF plus a CSV of clients and balances. Cancel from the app. No "are you sure" dance.
Is my client data safe?
Encrypted at rest and in transit. Hosted on EU servers (Frankfurt). GDPR-compliant under the Irish DPC. You own your data, full stop.
Why €9.99 and not a Tradify-style per-user price?
Because Irish tradesmen mostly work alone or with one apprentice. Flat €9.99/month, one trader, unlimited quotes and invoices. We'd rather have 100,000 sole traders than 500 agencies.
Can I quote a client in one language and invoice them in another?
Yes. MarginTap supports EN, en-GB, en-IE, PL, DE, FR, IT, NL and PT on the same job. Quote a Polish-speaking client in PL, deliver the invoice in DE to their German office, send the English version to UK procurement — one job, three documents, the same VAT number on each. No other invoicing app for tradesmen does this — which is exactly why the Polish-Irish trades crowd picks it.
